Whether you are buying or selling an aircraft, using an Aircraft Broker will save you time and money.

Buying:  If you have subscribed to several aviation magazines and spent all your spare time reading them, spent further time and money on calls to people who have already sold their planes or changed their minds, and have traveled to airports where there are no planes for sale, and when you have finally found the plane of your dreams had the owner "up the price" on you.

Then you need an Aircraft Broker. He will tell you about real planes for sale, and when the plane of your dreams is presented he will provide you with a solid sales contract to "hold" the plane off the market subject to passing your mechanical inspection and test flight, and subject to all ADs being complied with. Selling: Would you like to advertise on your own, answer the phone at all times of the day or night, travel to the airport  every second weekend to show and demo your plane, only to have the prospect say "I'll think about it"?

Or would you rather let a professional firm pay for the advertising, answer the phone, send the faxes and deal with the prospect. When a Qualified Buyer is found and a deposit has been paid, only then will you be called to show your plane.

What is the difference between an Aircraft Broker and an Aircraft Dealer? The dealer has an inventory of planes that he owns and maintains. He must figure the cost of acquisition, maintenance, parking, and insurance into the equation of what he must get out of each plane. He must also charge you Goods and Services Tax on the sale.

An Aircraft Broker has a better selection of aircraft and will help you secure a deal at less than the asking price. And there is generally NO GST Payable.
